How many things you bought because you want to post about them on Instagram? Be honest.
You would be lying if you say there weren’t a few items in your closet that Instagram didn’t ultimately convince you to purchase. We know how it starts, a trend starts to pick up, brands put top influencers in it, the influencers post about it regularly, and by the tenth post you’re convinced you need to buy this trend. And what better what to express personal style than posting it on Instagram on your own?
The power of social media and the constant presence of certain items on Instagram makes us think they’re cool and you feel the need to post about it so your friends will think you’re cool too.
But on the positive side of social media, thanks to this platform, we discovered brands we might have never find on our own and we get reviews of products from sources we might never have.
See the list of a few items we were swayed to buy thanks to Instagram (which we think it’s not such a bad thing after all). But don’t misunderstand us we don’t only buy things to post about them on social. No. All that matters is that it helps us look good and we can totally control it.
Suits
Suits are definitely a trend that it seemed like every single fashion girl we followed was posting look after look in a cool new piece. Naturally, we followed and participated in the trend.

Dad sneakers
Dad sneakers are a trend that is yet in full bloom. Between the obsession with classic Nike’s all the way to Louis Vuitton, this sneaker trend has created an impressive Instagram content. We didn’t really purchase a pair yet but we have plenty of friends who did and are non-stop sharing them on Instagram.
Shopper bags
Shopper bags have been spotted all over social media, street style stars, and beyond. Celine’s plastic version of this trend is on the wish list of some of us and of that thanks to Instagram.
Enjoy,
