Trend report: Egg-yolk yellow
If the beige color unquestionably controls what is happening in the current season’s fashion scene with respect to neutral palettes, a fresher but still delicate tone rigorously fights for the title color of Summer 2019. We are talking about yellow, but not the saturated color of the marigold that we have been loud about for months which also plays an important role in the current trends, but we’re talking about egg yolk, a pastel yellow on the border between color and neutral.
The color seamlessly can be categorized as minimalistic for a number of reasons – it can easily replace the white or beige basics in any outfit. An oil-like tone is usually monochrome from head to toe. This can be concluded from our observations of the catwalks and the street style interpretations of fashion girls that demonstrate how easy it is actually to include yellow in our closets.
Delicate and suitable for more than one skin tone, this pale color could be worn on its own, but also with other neutral palettes, a set of pastels or strong and bright tones such as fuchsia and orange. The designer collections openly prefer the monochrome approach and present plenty of options – Tibi’s way is the loose costume; at Chanel as a beautiful summer dress; and with Miu Miu is a cocktail one. There is a comparison between androgynous silhouettes such as oversized trench coats and suits and many feminine interpretations, which complement the abundance of options to choose from, looking for their personal details.
