The trends everyone will be wearing this season: 80s kitsch

Similar to the leopard print and bright colors, this season yellow and the 80s have their strong presence in the trends we’re all going to wear.

The 80’s of the last century still are still present with recognizable aesthetics, but what we can point out as a difference for the new season is the maximalism offered by the designers.

Of course, the highlights such as an exaggerated volume in the shoulders or a purely sharp silhouette in the upper part of the body are here to stay, and the maximalism we are talking about is featured with the shiny fabrics, the brave volumes and dazzling decorations. We’re talking sequins, crystals, brooches, ribbons and feathers, which are a sort of trend on their own as well.

The bold mini party dresses are experiencing their peak, and the adequate exaggerated accessories as well. Think Alessandra Rich’s velvet headbands with volume and oversized jewelry; Gucci’s crystals earrings and necklaces all the way to Celine and Chanel’s plays with the authentic logos and signature chains.
