We do enjoy spending a certain amount of our hard-earned salary on clothes, but what exactly should our budget be? To be quite honest we’re not financial experts and we personally have been in the dark about what is rational to spend on style, so we thought of reaching out to experts to help us in this research.

For example, if your monthly take-home pay is $3000, you should spend around $150 per month on clothing. While everyone has a unique situation, we find that the 5% guide is helpful for keeping your shopping sprees in control.

If you likely don’t have much cash to spare on non-basics, so focus your spending at more affordable high street stores that are still offering good quality—such as Asos, Zara, Topshop, Mango and H&M.
